5,000-Mile Maintenance

Each time you travel 5,000 miles or six months, whichever comes first, you need to perform some quick services to keep your Camry running smoothly. This required maintenance includes:

  • Inspecting and adjusting all fluid levels
  • Inspecting wiper blades
  • Rotating tires
  • Visually inspecting brake system

Toyota Camry Maintenance Schedule: 10,000-Mile Maintenance

At each 10,000-mile or 12-month interval, in addition to the previously listed maintenance, you’ll also need to change your engine oil and oil filter.

Engine oil has many responsibilities, all with the purpose of keeping your vehicle’s engine healthy. One responsibility is to lubricate all the moving parts under the hood. This way these parts won’t rub together and wear down faster than they should.

Additionally, with all the moving parts properly lubricated, you prevent these parts from rubbing together and creating excessive heat friction.

At the 10,000-mile marker, you’ll also need to replace your cabin air filter.

30,000-Mile Maintenance

Once you and your Toyota Camry have been together roughly 30,000 miles or 36 months, whichever comes first, you need to perform additional maintenance inspections. This includes:

  • Engine coolant
  • Ball joints and dust covers
  • Exhaust pipes and mountings
  • Brake lines and hoses

Your engine coolant is responsible for maintaining the climate control of your vehicle’s radiator. When it’s cold outside, the coolant prevents the radiator from freezing. In the heat, the coolant is responsible for preventing overheating.

Each time you add 30,000 miles to your odometer, or you drive another 36 months, repeat this maintenance.

Special Maintenance Considerations

While the above maintenance is recommended for most Toyota Camry vehicles, some drivers may need to perform this maintenance earlier than the recommended guidelines. These are drivers who travel in special operating conditions.

These special driving conditions include dusty roads, using a car-top carrier, extensive idling, and more. Let’s take a closer look!
