The L trim is the base-level Corolla, which sets the standard for all the trims to follow. It comes with a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that boasts 139 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque.

The LE comes in both a standard and a hybrid version. The standard carries over the 1.8L 4-cylinder engine, while the Hybrid LE includes a 121 horsepower-capable 1.8L hybrid 4-cylinder engine. These trims add updated cabin features, like the 8-inch touchscreen display, automatic climate control, and the remote keyless entry system.

The SE Apex features the same engine options as the standard SE. However, it comes with a lowered sport-tuned suspension. It also includes a sport-tuned exhaust with conical-shaped tip.
Like the Nightshade Edition, the Apex has its own style. It stands on 18-inch black flow-formed wheels. This sharp trim stands out with a sport mesh black front grille with a bronze/black front spoiler and C-shaped accents. Its distinct look is capped off with a black/bronze body kit and blacked-out Corolla, Apex, and Toyota badging.
This Toyota Corolla trim brings back the 1.8L 4-cylinder engine. However, it adds more to the comfort and style by featuring the power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade. It also includes the SofTex®-trimmed heated front seats with sport fabric inserts.
Along with the updated upholstery, the Corolla XLE offers the available Premium Audio system with JBL® speakers, which play high-quality audio that you select from the 8-inch touchscreen. It also features an available Adaptive Front-Lighting System and ambient lighting.
Lastly, this trim adds the 7-inch color TFT Multi-Information Display to highlight performance and efficiency details.
The XSE trim takes from the previous trims and combines some of their top features. It brings back the sporty 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. It also includes the SofTex®-trimmed heated front sport seats with sport fabric inserts. It offers the moonroof and the available premium sound system.
The XSE also offers an Apex Edition, which again adds a lowered sport-tuned suspension and sport-tuned exhaust. It also brings the same exterior style touches that the SE Apex offers along with interior bronze contrast stitching.
