Toyota’s midsize SUV is known as the Highlander, while the full-size SUV is known as the 4Runner. Either one of these vehicles is a great option—which one you go with is going to depend entirely on your lifestyle, your needs, and your goals. So, with that in mind, our team here at Mike Calvert Toyota has created this guide to help you determine whether you should go with the Toyota Highlander or the Toyota 4Runner.

However, one important category where there aren’t many differences between them is that of safety.
That’s because both their 2020 Highlander and their 2020 4Runner offer one of Toyota’s most state-of-the-art driver-assistive safety suites: Toyota Safety SenseÔ 2.0 (TSS 2.0) and Toyota Safety SenseÔ P (TSS-P), respectively. Check out some of the common features that are available with both of these suites:

Last, but certainly not least, both vehicles come standard with remarkably powerful V6 engines. The Highlander’s is a 3.5L V6 that’s able to kick out 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque, while the 4Runner’s is a 4.0L V6 that can produce 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, they’re both pretty evenly matched. Should you require an SUV with a bit more horsepower, you may want to consider the Highlander; and if you need more torque, maybe the 4Runner.
Regardless of which one you pick, you’ll be getting a well-proportioned SUV that’s safe and powerful. To dive deeper into the details and figure out which of these awesome vehicles is the perfect one for you, all you have to do is get in touch with us at Mike Calvert Toyota.
